Frequently Asked Questions
Every project is different, but our goal is always the same:
clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a well-managed process
from start to finish.
Getting Started
Do I need a designer before contacting you?
No. You don’t need a designer to get started. We can help guide the early planning process and, if needed, connect you with trusted design professionals. We’re also happy to work with a designer you’ve already selected and coordinate closely throughout the project.
How do I get started?
The first step is to reach out and tell us about your project. From there, we’ll schedule a conversation or site visit to better understand your space, your goals, and the scope of work.
What types of projects do you take on?
We handle a range of residential projects, including kitchen and bathroom remodeling, general interior renovations, and handyman services.
We take on both full remodels and smaller, targeted updates depending on the needs of the project.
Planning & Pricing
How are projects priced?
Pricing depends on the scope of work, materials, and complexity of the project. After discussing your project and defining the scope, we provide a detailed proposal outlining the cost of the work.
Do you provide estimates?
We provide detailed proposals once the scope of work is clearly defined. This allows us to give accurate pricing based on the specifics of your project.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your project on our schedule.
How far out are you scheduled?
Our schedule varies depending on the time of year and current workload. We’ll provide a general timeline during the initial conversation, so you know what to expect.
During the Project
Will I be able to live in my home during the project?
In many cases, yes—especially for smaller projects. For larger renovations, it depends on the scope of work and which areas of the home are affected. We’ll discuss this with you ahead of time so you can plan accordingly.
How long will my project take?
Project timelines vary based on size and complexity. Once the scope is defined, we’ll provide a general timeline and keep you updated throughout the project.
Who will be working in my home?
We coordinate all aspects of the project, including any subcontractors needed for specialized work. We work with trusted professionals and manage scheduling and communication throughout the project.
How do you handle communication during the project?
Clear communication is a priority. We keep you informed throughout the project so you know what’s happening, what’s coming next, and if any decisions are needed.
Design & Materials
Do you help with layout and design decisions?
We can assist with layout considerations and overall planning. For more detailed design work and finish selections, we can connect you with trusted designers or work with one you’ve already chosen.
Can I choose my own materials & finishes?
Yes. You’re welcome to select your own materials, or we can help guide you and coordinate with your designer to ensure everything aligns with the project.
Scope & Expectations
Do you handle both small projects and full remodels?
Yes. We take on both full renovations and smaller updates, depending on your needs.
Can you take care of a list of smaller items (punch list)?
Yes. Our handyman services are a great option for smaller projects, repairs, or a list of items that need to be completed.
Do you handle permits?
If permits are required for your project, we will discuss that during the planning phase and handle the process as needed.
After the Project
What happens when the project is complete?
We conduct a final walkthrough to ensure all work is completed according to the agreed scope and address any remaining items before closing out the project.
